The Keck 1 telescope transmits a laser beam into the atmosphere to determing atmospheric distortion and then correcting the positioning of the many smller lenses in the 10 meter telescope to adjust for that distortion. In the lower right corner of the imge one can ee the Southern Cross.

I love creating photographic art! My photographic effort has been focused (no pun intended) on trains. Railroad photography developed into an extremely rewarding experience for me.
