On a beautiful day in October I found this grove of aspen situated next to Carson Creek (between South Lake Tahoe and Jackson, California). The shadows in the foreground were very dark and the highlights on the white trees and the sky where very bright. To obtain this result I took 9 images on a tripod and merged them together in Photomatix Pro. It was a breezy day and I chose to leave some of the ghosting in the image, most obvious in the upper right.
I love creating photographic art! My photographic effort has been focused (no pun intended) on trains. Railroad photography developed into an extremely rewarding experience for me.
